Dorothy Murdock is the founder of Selah Ridge Wealth, a boutique financial advisory firm dedicated to helping business owners, executives, and ambitious professionals to bring clarity, confidence, and intentionality to their financial lives. She gained her expertise from professional affiliations with New York Life and MassMutual.  She combines over 30 years in the financial services industry and a degree in economics, to bring deep expertise in investments and insurance with a gift for listening and crafting personalized strategies that align wealth with purpose and values.

Dorothy’s journey into financial advising was rooted in first-hand business leadership. Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, she led high-performing corporate marketing and procurement teams with Discover Card, developing a sharp understanding of business operations, P&L management, and strategic planning. Her current clients—many of whom are business owners or C-suite professionals—value her ability to speak their language and understand both personal and corporate business complexities.

Having served on several Board of Directors, Dorothy brings a strategic, big-picture perspective to every planning conversation. She has a particular talent for guiding clients through major transitions—whether it's succession planning, retirement readiness, or redefining goals after a life change—with a calm, grounded approach.

Through her partnership with Cetera Advisors, Dorothy offers access to best-in-class investment platforms, advanced planning resources and tools, and forward-thinking solutions designed for savvy, growth-minded clients. Whether managing risk, building generational wealth, or aligning legacy with values, she equips clients to make clear, confident decisions.

Dorothy lives in Barrington, Illinois, and serves clients both locally and across the United States. Outside of work, she thrives in motion—whether it’s on the pickleball court, ski slopes, or golf course. She also enjoys home renovation projects, long walks outdoors, and time with her husband and two grown sons.
