Martavius D. Jones became licensed in insurance and registered in securities (investments) since 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He is President and Financial Advisor of Jones Wealth Management Group, a financial services firm launched in 2001 that helps individuals, families, and small business owners pursue financial independence through retirement, investment, and financial planning. In 2014, he attained the designation of a Chartered Federal Employee Benefits ConsultantSM (ChFEBC) which is a financial professional that’s specially trained in the retirement and benefits offering available to federal government employees.
Mr. Jones served the Memphis, TN, community as an appointed, then subsequently elected, member of the Memphis City School Board where he served from 2006 through 2013 and was elected to the Memphis City Council in 2015 and served through 2023. He enjoys reading, music, and golf. He is the father of one son and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
