The George Mitchell Nature Preserve is located in Creekside Village and is part of the Montgomery County Spring Creek Greenway, which will connect and protect up to 12,000 acres of forest on both sides of Spring Creek, and throughout the Woodlands area.

When you're ready to get outdoors, the 1700 acre George Mitchell Preserve is a great place to start. The Preserve is a small part of over 220 miles of biking and hiking trails throughout the 150 parks in the Wooodlands area.




The George Mitchell Preserve is a visitor favorite for a number of reasons. Ornithologist will enjoy the views of migrating birds found in the Preserve, while bike enthusiasts will enjoy the three miles of bike trails, and the beautiful flora and fona that are found in the Preserve. Hikers will enjoy both the Flintridge Loop and Spring Creek Nature trails0 that are considered easy, but long enough to work up a sweat. Either way you'll get to enjoy the beautiful green park areas.

The Woodlands is a community founded in 1974, with over 100,000 residents, and is located just 30 minutes to the North of Houston, TX. With its 151 parks and 220 miles of hike and bike trails, the community is a hub of recreation, and with more than 2100 businesses, including dining, shopping, and entertainment development there is something for everyone in this south Texas community.
